Welcome my lovely passengers to a sidetrack!!

My journey through Christopher Nolan's Odyssey was impressive but personally left me uninspired. The practical effects where awesome and I really appreciated the relevant message about honor and how essential it is to civilization. However overall I didn't feel all that moved.

After listening to a discussion (Detail Diatribe) between a fan of Homer's Odyssey and an actual Greek talk about the film I was able to find what truly inspired me about it. I was inspiring to hear music made by instruments of that era and to see some truly breathtaking taking scenes from plot points that have been famous for the past 3,000 years. Even if this movie does have some glaring flaws.

What did you think about Christopher Nolan's Odyssey? Have you read Homer's Odyssey? What did you find inspiring? Or have are you a fan of something more Epic?
